Request for Preproposals printer friendly format
GCEP Request for Preproposals (RFPP) in the Area of Carbon Capture and Storage

The Global Climate and Energy Project (GCEP) at Stanford University is pleased to announce a request for preproposals in the area of Carbon Mitigation through Carbon Capture, Systems Optimization and Alternative Processes. GCEP is in a unique position to offer significant resources for pursuing risky but highly innovative research concepts. We fund fundamental research with a vision for significant impact on greenhouse gas emissions in a 10- to 50-year timeframe. The present request is an opportunity to explore promising and novel research concepts that reduce carbon emissions in the atmosphere through carbon capture, system optimization and alternative processes. It is anticipated that three to five proposals may be funded with a cumulative total of approximately $5,000,000.

Preproposal deadline is July 21, 2011.
