April 26-27, 2004
GCEP held a series of energy workshops to identify the technical barriers that must be overcome, and the research opportunities for developing game-changing energy technologies that may lead to reduced greenhouse gas emissions. Carbon-Free Production of Hydrogen from Fossil Fuels, Wind Power, Carbon Capture and Separation, and Biomass were the topics explored.
Experts from leading research institutions and private industry from around the world provided unique input into the discussions. The workshops also informed the Stanford community about areas in which GCEP may consider sponsoring research during the next year. More than 200 participants attended this two-day series of workshops at the Frances C. Arrillaga Alumni Center at Stanford University.
