Meeting the Challenge of Reducing Global GHG Emissions Through Energy Research
June 13 - 16, 2005
Stanford University
GCEP
held its first energy research symposium which featured well-known
speakers and leading researchers from Stanford and around the world.
The keynote speakers included: Prof. Freeman Dyson, Institute for Advanced Study, Princeton University; Prof. Ernest Moniz, Department of Physics, MIT; and Prof. David Victor,
Program on Energy and Sustainable Development at the Center for
Environmental Science and Policy, Stanford University. The four-day
event provided a forum for the discussion of energy technologies needed
for a future with significantly reduced greenhouse gas emissions.
GCEP-funded investigators gave presentations highlighting the results
of their innovative research, and their graduate students and
postdoctoral researchers hosted poster sessions to provide the details
of their work. Over 300 people attended this event which was held at
the Frances C. Arrillaga Alumni Center at Stanford University.
Selected presentations are available by date and topic below:
