Posters We encourage each research team to present several posters highlighting the technical details of its project. During past meetings, attendees from the GCEP Sponsor companies were very impressed by the discussions they had with the graduate students and post-docs hosting their posters. As with the presentations, please prepare your posters to communicate to an audience that will consist of many faculty and students from Stanford, technical experts from each of the Sponsor companies, and outside energy professionals. Poster authors should register at http://www.regonline.com/gcepsymposium2012 under the "Current or Former GCEP-Funded Student/Postdoc" category and submit the following preliminary poster information online as soon as possible:
Poster Competition GCEP will have a "best poster" competition that will be judged by a panel of outside independent reviewers, Stanford technical staff, and GCEP Sponsor technical representatives on Wednesday, Oct. 10. The winners will be announced and awards will be presented at the conference on Thursday, Oct. 11. Criteria for Poster Judging:
Poster Requirements The GCEP logo must be displayed on all posters. The GCEP logo (and usage guide) and the Stanford seal are available for download at the link at the top of this page. We will provide one 8' width x 4' height board and pushpins for each poster. Final poster information must be updated by September 14 in order for the entries to be considered in the poster competition and listed in the symposium handout. Stand by your poster: During the poster session on Wednesday, Oct. 10, the lead presenter for each poster will be assigned to either Session A (3:30 - 5:00 pm) or Session B (4:30 - 6:00 pm) to stand by his/her poster to answer questions from symposium attendees and judges. A map showing where the posters should be set up will be provided in the registration materials you will receive at the conference. Session assignments will be determined closer to the symposium. GCEP would like to post a PDF version of your poster immediately after the symposium. If you would like to edit your poster for the web, please also upload a version of your poster that is suitable for publication on our site. Please upload your posters as PowerPoint or PDF files onto the symposium website using the "Poster Upload" link or e-mail them to Clare Swan at crswan@stanford.edu by the deadline of Wednesday, October 17. |
