The Energy@Stanford & SLAC conference is a great way for Stanford graduate and professional school students to learn about the broad range of energy research on campus -- from solar cells to batteries to behavior and efficiency.

One week conference for incoming and current graduate students interested in energy. Limited enrollment. A background in energy is not required.

Get a jumpstart on your energy education at Stanford. Create your Stanford network of students, faculty, and staff. Socialize with the students who formed the Stanford Energy Club and other energy groups on campus. Meet energy faculty Rock Stars from Stanford’s Seven Schools: Business, Earth Sciences, Education, Engineering, Humanities & Sciences, Law, and Medicine. Visit local energy companies in Silicon Valley, SLAC’s state-of-the-art SSRL and LCLS lightsource facilities, and Stanford’s Jasper Ridge Biological Preserve. Get to know various energy related research groups/labs at Stanford and discuss potential research opportunities with the groups/labs' faculty and graduate students.

 Past Energy Summer School Event

Energy Summer School logo from 2009Scientific and technological advances will be key to addressing the energy challenges of the 21st century, in which global energy needs will more than double by 2050. This school will provide an overview of current issues and sustainable technologies in energy generation, collection, storage, utilization.
